Groningen want Arjen Robben to end his career in a fairy-tale fashion and finish at the club where it all started.

The winger first rose to prominence in the early 2000s at the Dutch minnows, before switching to PSV and then joining the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid.

But Robben’s best years have been at Bayern Munich – and the 33-year-old celebrated his sixth Bundesliga title with the club on Saturday.

After another stellar season at the Allianz Arena, Robben has also courted interest from the Chinese Super League but Groningen want the star to return to his home town club this summer – according to Tuttomercatoweb.

RATING: 6/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: Robben, himself, feels he can still play at the top for many more years and is a key player for Bayern, so it seems unlikely Carlo Ancelotti will allow him to leave.

Barcelona have launched a move to sign Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij, according to a report in Spain-based news outlet Sport.

The Catalan club see the Dutch international as a replacement for Javier Mascherano but face a fight with Manchester City to land the 25-year-old.

The former Feyenoord star has endured an injury-hit season with the Serie A club but is still very much on Barca’s radar and a bid of around €15m (AED61m) could be accepted.

RATING: 8/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: The powerful centre-back would be a welcome addition to Barcelona’s squad and his presence in defence offers something completely different to what Blaugrana have at the moment. A decision is likely to be made once Barca appoint their new manager.

Ajax will face a fight to keep hold of centre-back Davinson Sanchez this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Colombian has been a rock at the heart of an impressive season for the Dutch giants – and as a result – is attracting interest from both Barcelona and Chelsea.

Sanchez is highly-rated and won’t come cheap to potential suitors across Europe.

RATING: 8/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: At just 20-years-old, the defender is fast becoming one of the hottest talents in European football – so expect an intense pursuit for his signature over the coming weeks and months.
