The Chinese side – who were only promoted to the country’s top-tier this season – are interested in a number of top players across Europe with Chelsea’s Diego Costa another rumoured target.
Axel Witsel and Alexandre Pato are two big names that have already migrated to the team in the Far East – who are managed by Fabio Cannavaro – and this summer, a few more can be expected to join them.
Aubameyang would be a marquee signing for the whole of the Chinese Super League, a player at the peak of his powers.
The details of the offer are yet to be revealed, but if the Dortmund striker is to be the best-paid player in history, it will have to top the £493,000-a-week given to Ezequiel Lavezzi by Hebei Fortune.

Aubameyang has enjoyed yet another stellar campaign in the famous yellow and black shirt, scoring 37 goals in all competitions – 29 of those coming in the Bundesliga.
A move to one of Europe’s elite was touted for the African striker but if such a deal has been tabled by Tianjin, he may choose to take it.
