Former Gor Mahia striker Michael Olunga has reportedly signed for Chinese club Guizhou Zhicheng in a record deal supersport.com can reveal.
The 22 year old will play in the Chinese Super League, which has attracted several top players from European clubs with big money.
Swedish newspaper Expressen had earlier reported that talks with the newly promoted Chinese Super League outfit Hengfeng Guizhou Zhicheng FC were at an advanced stage and that the Harambee Stars striker was to sign but a clash of his agents had delayed the move.
Olunga’s agent Patrick Dark has also reasserted that in deed the player will be the most expensively sold from Sweden if he leaves Djurgardens.
“I cannot confirm anything except that if Olunga is sold, it will be the most expensive deal from a Stockholm club ever.”
Olunga joined Djurgardens in early 2016 on a four-year contract and went on to finish as the club’s top scorer.
